A special fund has been set up to help a 9-year-old girl from Vernon Hills, after she survived a crash that killed her family.
Tomohiro Hirayama, and his wife Sachiyo, and their son Yuki died last month in a crash while vacationing in Arizona. A pickup truck trying to escape police slammed into the family’s rental car near Flagstaff.
Nine-year-old Rinka Hirayama broke her arm, but is now back at home, in her grandparents’ care.
