Eisenhower Lanes Reopen After Beer Truck Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) -- All lanes have been reopened to traffic after a crash on the Eisenhower Expressway that left one person injured and a semi truck hauling beer rolled onto its side early Tuesday.

The crash, which involved the beer truck and a passenger vehicle, occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the inbound lanes of Interstate 290 near Harlem Avenue, according to Illinois State Police.

An occupant of the passenger vehicle was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with "minor injuries," state police said.

The semi was rolled onto its side and stretched across all four lanes of the expressway after the crash.

All inbound lanes and ramps had been reopened as of about 4:30 a.m., state police said.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
