Woman Charged With Fatally Stabbing Boyfriend
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A woman has been charged with stabbing her boyfriend to death in the West Garfield Park neighborhood early Monday.
Crystal Caffey, 27, was charged with first-degree murder, according to a statement from Chicago Police.
Police said Caffey stabbed her boyfriend during an argument about money in the 4000 block of West Maypole Avenue about 2:30 a.m.
Marvin Turner, 29, was found on the sidewalk in that block about 2:50 a.m. with a stab wound to the chest, authorities said.
Turner, of the 4000 block of West Maypole, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:45 a.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
An autopsy Tuesday found he died of a stab wound to the chest and ruled his death a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.
Caffey, also of the 4000 block of West Maypole, is scheduled to appear in bond court Wednesday, police said.
