Shakespeare Returning To 18 Chicago Parks

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Shakespeare is returning to Chicago's parks this summer.

WBBM Newsradio's Regine Schlesinger reports the Chicago Park District has partnered with Chicago Shakespeare Theater to put on 26 performances of "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

The free play will run from July 18 to August 17 in 18 neighborhood parks across the city.

This is the third year for Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks. Last year's production was "The Comedy of Errors."

Boeing and BMO Harris Bank were helping to underwrite the costs.

The parks where the play will be performed include:

• Dvorak Park
• Eckhart Park
• Gage Park
• Garfield Park Conservatory
• Gateway Park at Navy Pier
• Hamilton Park
• Humboldt Park
• Loyola Park
• Marquette Park
• Piotrowski Park
• Ridge Park
• Riis Park
• South Shore Cultural Center
• Tuley Park
• Washington Park
• Welles Park
• Frank J. Wilson Park
