Watch: Nick Saban Isn't In The Mood To Talk About Corvettes
(CBS) You can add Corvettes to the list of topics Alabama football coach Nick Saban doesn't want to talk to the media about.
Earlier this week, former West Virginia quarterback Pat White posted a comment on Facebook saying that Alabama offered him a Corvette when it was recruiting him in the early-to-mid 2000s. While it was a vague accusation -- several outlets reported the Crimson Tide didn't even seriously recruit White -- and Saban wasn't even coaching at Alabama at the time, it nonetheless caught the attention of many. Because everyone loves to hear stories about the dirty underworld of recruiting, of course.
Well, eventually Saban was questioned about it on Thursday night at a Crimson Caravan event in Tennessee.
His response was classic Saban.
"I didn't even know it happened," Saban said. "So I can't comment on it. ... Is that the best thing we can talk about? ... kiss my (butt)."
