CHICAGO (CBS) — Last year, fans of Chicago’s Air and Water Show didn’t get to see the amazing skills of the U.S. military’s premier fighter jet pilots.
Thanks, government sequester.
This year, Chicago gets them back. It’s the U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ turn to dazzle the million people who flock to the lake every summer.
They alternate every year with the Air Force Thunderbirds, who were scheduled to fly last year before the government cut their funding.
To get you ready for the event, we found this stunning video of the Blue Angels in actions.
It was taken from the cockpit of one of the fighter jets.
This year’s show is scheduled Aug 16-17 at North Avenue Beach and will be broadcast on WBBM Newsradio 105.9 FM
