White Sox Ace Sale To Return Thursday, Start Against Yankees

(CBS) White Sox ace Chris Sale will return from the disabled list and start Thursday against the Yankees, the team announced Wednesday.

Sale has been out with a strained flexor muscle in his left elbow since a 127-pitch outing against the Red Sox on April 17. Sale had a 68-pitch outing for Triple-A Charlotte on Friday in a rehab start, and other than general body soreness, he and the White Sox said everything went well.

Sale, who has dealt with a few arm issues over the past two seasons, had never been on the┬ádisabled list until this season. He’s 3-0 with a 2.30 ERA and 0.84 WHIP this season.
