(CBS) Game 7 of the Western Conference Final between the Kings and Blackhawks on Sunday night set an NHL ratings record for a non-Stanley Cup Final game, according to reports.

Televised by NBC Sports Network, the game averaged 4.137 million views from 7:01-10:16 p.m. CT, according to Nielsen and as reported by variety.com. It was the most-watched cable network in Sunday primetime, and it peaked with about 5.5 million views between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. The game lived up to the drama too, with the Kings rallying three times to advance to the Cup Final with a 5-4 overtime win.

The game also drew a 22.7 rating in the Chicago market, the best ever for a Blackhawks game on NBCSN.
