(CBS) Former Joliet Catholic star and all-stater Ty Isaac is transferring to Michigan, he announced Thursday on Twitter.
Isaac had previously announced his intention to leave USC because of what he called a family health issue, according to the Chicago Tribune. He ran for 236 yards and two scores on 40 carries during his freshman season with the Trojans.
Isaac had also considered transferring to Illinois before deciding on Michigan. He’s previously said he’ll try to apply for a hardship waiver to gain immediate eligibility for the 2014 season.
