White Sox, Cubs Select Right-Handed Pitchers In 2nd Round

(CBS) -- The White Sox and Cubs both selected right-handed pitchers Thursday in the second round of the MLB draft.

The Sox used their 44th pick to grab Spencer Adams of White County High School in Cleveland, Ga., while the Cubs, with the 45th pick overall, chose the University of Maryland's Jake Stinnett.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Stinnett, 22, went 7-6 with a 2.65 ERA in 2014. He began pitching full time in 2013, when he had a 2.83 ERA in 16 appearances.
