Man Arrested After Cops Spot Child Porn On His Cell Phone

(CBS) -- A Blue Island man has been accused of having child pornography on his cell phone.

Blue Island Police went to the home of 51-year-old Richard Fowler almost two weeks ago on a domestic battery call.

The Cook County State's Attorney says police saw Fowler's cell phone on – and open -- and that it apparently showed photos of minors having sex.

When Fowler went to the police station to pick up his phone, he was arrested. And the state's attorney's office says there were images on the cell phone of sex acts involving children under the age of 13.

Fowler's bond was set at $30,000.

His next court appearance is at the end of the month.
