(CBS) – School’s out for Chicago Public Schools students for the summer, and Mayor Emanuel joined church leaders Friday in an effort to keep the streets safe.
They took to the streets calling for an end to violence.
Fr. Michael Pfleger led a Stop the Violence March, through the streets of Gresham, CBS 2’s Suzanne Le Mignot reports.
Putting the violence into perspective, the names of 105 young people killed in Chicago since September were read out loud.
