(CBS) World Cup fever has found Chicago, nowhere more so than on Monday evening in Grant Park, where an estimated 8,000 fans gathered to watch Team USA’s 2-1 win against Ghana in the opener on a 19-by-33-foot HD big screen at Arvey Field.

After plenty of tension, the fans in Grant Park went nuts when American sub John Brooks headed home the game-winner in the 86th minute for a crucial victory.

Chicago Fire team videographer Leo Flores was on hand, and he compiled a terrific video to capture the day’s emotions, including the wild celebration.
