CHICAGO (CBS) — The dream is over for Team USA, as they fell 2-1 to Belgium to get knocked out of the World Cup.

While Team USA was playing in Brazil, 28,000 packed Soldier Field to watch the match.

CBS 2’s Dorothy Tucker reports they were hyped hours before the game, decked out in U.S. pride as they anxiously waited to enter the gates of Soldier Field.

90 minutes before kick-off, eager fans flooded the stands of the stadium and stormed across the field, jockeying for the best spot to see the screen and their beloved U.S. team.

“USA, they battled their butts off. They couldn’t get it done. They had a good showing,” said Frank Diaz.

“I have been living in America my whole life and it is just tough to see this,” said Lamar Dawson.

Most fans were disappointed with the loss but still proud of their team.
