Boy, 16, Dies One Day After West Side Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 16-year-old boy died Wednesday evening, one day after he was shot in the head in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The teen was shot at 5:18 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of North Keeler Avenue, police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:52 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. His name was not released pending notification of his family.
The boy is a documented gang member, according to a police source.
