Feds Raid Portage Park Home, Find More Than 15 Child Porn Videos

(STMW) -- A Portage Park man is facing charges after police say they discovered more than 15 pornographic videos of children at his home.

On June 20, 2013, federal agents executed a search warrant at 27-year-old Andre Alfaro's home on the basis of a child exploitation investigation conducted by the Innocent Images FBI Task Force, the Cook County Sheriff's office said.

Authorities seized computers and thumb drives that were later reviewed by the sheriff's Police Child Exploitation Unit and the Regional Computer Forensics Lab, the sheriff's office said. Alfaro had more than 400 images and 15 videos of child pornography, including of children under the age of 1, the sheriff's office said.

Alfaro, of the 5700 block of West Addison Street, was arrested July 2 and charged with possession of child pornography, the sheriff's office said. He was ordered held July 3 on $125,000 bond.

He will next appear in court July 23.
