Man, 85, Dies After Vehicle Hits Pole On Northwest Side

(STMW) -- An 85-year-old man died after the vehicle he was driving crashed Tuesday afternoon in the Norwood Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Vincent Pistilli was driving alone in the 6400 block of North Nagle Avenue at 3:13 p.m. when the vehicle struck a pole, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Pistilli was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where he was pronounced dead at 4:12 p.m., the medical examiner's office said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
