Watch: Highlights Of McDermott's 31-Point Game In Summer League
(CBS) The Bulls made a day night trade to acquire Doug McDermott for one reason.
He can fill it up.
In his second Summer League game in Las Vegas, McDermott did just that. He scored 31 points in Chicago's 103-76 win against Denver, shooting 7-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-9 from 3-point land, and 12-of-12 from the free-throw line.
Certainly, this wasn't quality defense from the Nuggets, but McDermott nonetheless displayed his offensive versatility and smooth shooting stroke.
