Watch: Giancarlo Stanton Hits A Projected 510-Foot HR In Derby

(CBS) Most likely, last night's Home Run Derby was far, far too long and tedious to draw your attention. So for those reasons, sports fans everywhere get a pass on if they missed anything to devote their time to better pursuits.

That said, there were a few highlights worthy of mention. Most notable was Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton's upper-deck blast in the first round, which was measured at 422 feet but projected to go 510 feet if the bleachers hadn't gotten in the way. It was just a few rows from leaving Target Field altogether.
