One Dead In Broad Daylight Shooting At Busy Intersection In Skokie

CHICAGO (CBS) — One person is dead after a shooting in broad daylight at a busy intersection in Skokie.
A man riding a maroon motorcycle and dressed in black clothes shot a passenger in another car at intersection of Oakton Street and McCormick Boulevard around 9:48 a.m. on Tuesday.
The victim was shot in the chest and was driven in a private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
The victim died at the hospital.
Police believe that the shooting was not a random incident, but no arrests have been made.
The 97 Skokie buses were temporarily rerouted in both directions via Howard, Crawford, and Oakton, due to the street blockage.
