Suspect Charged With Killing Man In Englewood In May
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A South Side man has been charged with shooting a south suburban man to death and wounding two others almost two months ago in the Englewood neighborhood.
Michael Wade, 23, faces one count of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with the May 29 shooting that happened in the 5700 block of South LaSalle Street, police announced early Tuesday.
Three men were on a porch there about 6:10 p.m. when someone walked out of a gangway and fired shots, police said at the time.
Malcolm Stuckey, 19, of the 16000 block of Carrington Drive in South Holland, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at 10:35 p.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
A 23-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the mouth and leg and was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition, and a 24-year-old man took himself to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center with a gunshot wound to the foot, police said.
Wade, of the 7200 block of South Champlain Avenue, was later identified as the shooter, according to a police statement.
He is scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
