(CBS) The Cubs have acquired left-hander Felix Doubront from the Red Sox in exchange for a player to be named later, according to reports.

Having been signed by Boston in 2005 and spent his whole career with the organization, the 26-year-old Doubront is familiar with Cubs president Theo Epstein and general manager Jed Hoyer, former Red Sox executives themselves.
