(CBS) – The Chicago Bears have signed tackle Dennis Roland to a one-year contract and waived Cody Booth, the team announced Thursday.

The 6-foot, 9-inch-tall, 315-pound Roland started 30 of 71 games played over six seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.

He has also appeared in four postseason contests with one start at right tackle. The Bolivar, Mo. native entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2006 with the Dallas Cowboys out of the University of Georgia. He also spent time on Tampa Bay’s practice squad.

Booth was an undrafted rookie free agent out of Temple.
