ESPN Suspends Dan Le Batard For Mock Billboard Message

(CBS) ESPN personality and radio host Dan Le Batard has been suspended by the network for two days.

The reasoning? Being awesomely creative, basically.

As part of joke for his radio show, Le Batard purchased a billboard in Akron that included a mocking “you’re welcome” from Miami fans that was directed toward former Heat star and new Cavalier LeBron James for the city helping bring him two championships and build his legacy. Check it out below.

Evidently, ESPN didn’t find it as funny as Le Batard and his radio audience did.

“His recent stunt does not reflect ESPN’s standards and brand,” a spokesman said. “Additionally, we were not made aware of his plans in advance.”
