CHICAGO (CBS) — A man died early Sunday after police say he fell 18 floors from a building in Streeterville.

The man, 38, was found unresponsive after falling from the 22nd floor to the fourth floor of a building in the 300 block of East Ohio Street, police said.

It was unknown where on the fourth floor the man was found, or whether he fell from a balcony or window.

The unidentified man was dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Unconfirmed dispatch reports said the man fell from a window at the DoubleTree Chicago Magnificent Mile, at 300 E. Ohio St.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
