CHICAGO (STMW) — A teen boy was shot to death in the South Side Burnside neighborhood Tuesday night.
The boy, 17, was riding a bike in the street about 11:30 p.m. in the 9200 block of South Dobson Avenue when a silver sedan drove up and someone inside fired at him, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
Someone drove the boy to Trinity Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
His identity was withheld early Wednesday pending notification of his family.
A police source said the boy was a documented gang member.
