Man Critically Wounded In South Shore Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was shot and critically wounded Thursday night in the South Shore neighborhood.

The man, 23, suffered gunshot wounds to the head and chest about 9:20 p.m. in the 7600 block of South Coles Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney, citing preliminary information.

He was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Sweeney said.
