Man Homeless For 18 Years Reunited With Family

(CBS) -- A 58-year-old Chicago man - homeless for 18 years - has been reunited with his family.

At 17, Dorothy Miller lost her father. For almost 20 years he disappeared and for 18 of those years, he was homeless.

"I still consider myself as Daddy's little girl," she says.

Now Dorothy's father Tommie Miller is back in her life.

Dorothy says the family saw Tommie on a TV news show about the homeless - and she got in touch with Renaissance Social Services, the organization that had been able to get Tommie off the streets and into housing a month ago.

Tommie says his new life is all thanks to Executive Director Michael Banghart.

"He gave me hope."

Dorothy is thrilled to find her father.

"I've never stopped looking."

Tommie Miller is seeing his family again - and meeting his six grandchildren for the first time.
