FBI: North Side Bank Robbery Is Suspect's Second

(STMW) --A man suspected of robbing a Lakeview neighborhood bank earlier this month struck again Saturday morning in the Edgewater neighborhood, the FBI said.

The Fifth Third Bank branch, at 5501 N. Ashland, was robbed at 11:30 a.m., according to the FBI.

The robber entered the bank and demanded money, police said. He then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his late 40s to 50s, standing between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-1, according to the FBI. He was wearing glasses and a gray baseball cap.

The man is also suspected of robbing a Fifth Third Bank branch, at 640 W. Diversey, about 12:15 p.m. on Aug. 5, the FBI said.
