Three Charged In Armed Robbery Of Aurora KFC

(CBS) -- Three people have been charged in connection with an armed robbery of a KFC in Aurora in which three people were shot Thursday evening, according to Aurora Police.

Claude Jackson, 45, Joshua Scott, 26, and Chase West, 19 have each been charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.

Police say Jackson was armed with a rifle-type gun when he entered the KFC with West at around 8:25 p.m. and ordered the three employees to the front of the store. Jackson then shot each of the employees once after discovering they couldn't open the cash register.

The suspects then fled to Jackson's home in a Cadillac Escalade allegedly being driven by Scott, police say. Jackson shares that home with Fatima Robertson, 23. Police located all four individuals at the residence within 10 minutes of the robbery.

Robertson has been charged in connection with two other armed robberies of an auto repair shop on July 22 in the 1900 block of North Farnsworth in unincorporated Aurora and a Mexican restaurant on August 4 in the 400 block of Hinman Street in Aurora.

Police say all three employees wounded are expected to be ok and a fourth employee in the store at the time was able to hide in the closet.

Bond was set at $2 million for both Robertson and Jackson and $1.5 million for Scott and West.
