Ald. Fioretti's Announcement -- Will He Run For Mayor? -- Coming Saturday

(CBS) -- Downtown alderman Bob Fioretti plans a big announcement Saturday, telling friends he intends to run for Chicago mayor.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel's poll numbers have declined since he closed 50 public schools a year ago. The election is next February.

Fioretti has represented the 2nd Ward since 2007.

Also considering a run for mayor is frequent Emanuel critic Karen Lewis, the president of the Chicago Teachers Union.
