Protesters Outside Loop H&M Call For Living Wage For Cambodian Garment Workers
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A protest was held at a store in the Loop Wednesday afternoon where demonstrators called for shops to pay more to garment workers in Cambodia who make some of the clothing that ends up here.
A living wage in Cambodia?
The couple dozen protesters in the Loop who picketed in front of H&M say it's about $170 a month. And they say workers there aren't getting paid anywhere near that to make clothes that end up on America's shelves.
