Police Warn Of Burglary Trend In Brighton Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are warning Southwest Side residents about a series of burglaries this month in the Brighton Park neighborhood.

In the reported incidents, one or more burglars have forced entry into homes and taken property from within, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

Two separate burglaries were reported in the 2900 block of West 39th Place, police said.

One occurred during the daytime hours of Sept. 10 while another happened during the afternoon hours of Sept. 6.

Another burglary was reported a block away in the 2800 block of West 39th Place during the day on Sept. 9, police said.

A home in the 4200 block of South Campbell was also burglarized during the same time period.

Burglaries were also reported on Sept. 10 in the 4000 block of South Maplewood during the afternoon and in the 4100 block of South Maplewood during the day, police said.
