Roof Of West Side Church Partially Collapses During Two-Alarm Fire

(STMW) -- Fire crews extinguished a multiple-alarm fire at a church in the West Side Austin neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters began battling the two-alarm blaze at Unity Church of God in Christ, 4901 W. Ferdinand, shortly after 11 a.m., Fire Media Affairs said.

The fire was extinguished at 12:28 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs. Crews will remain at the scene to monitor hot spots.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but part of the church's roof had collapsed, according to Fire Media Affairs.
