Most Expensive Hotel Suite: $45,000 A Night Ty Warner Penthouse

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A stay in the Ty Warner Penthouse at the Four Seasons in New York City costs about 6,429 Beanie Babies.

That's 45,000 regular dollars. For just one night.

Warner, the suburban Chicago tycoon who rode the Beanie Baby craze to a massive fortune, bought the hotel a few years back. Now, the penthouse that bears his name is the most expensive hotel suite in the country, and rates among the top five in the world.

That price includes a butler, a Rolls-Royce limo, lots of champagne and caviar, according to Tiffani Cailor, the PR boss for the hotel.

The bedsheets are woven with gold. Like, real gold.

Warner, who recently was convicted on tax corruption charges, apparently bought out an entire crystal quarry to create the bathroom, Cailor said.

There is one wall in the place that was handmade by Italian craftsman, and cost $1 million.

The views of Central Park are quite nice, too--from a perch about 700 feet above Manhattan.

The penthouse cost $50 million and seven years to build.

Cailor offers this video tour of the suite, but not before she tells the photographer to take off his shoes.

And, don't even try to name your price on Priceline--the $45,000 rate is non-negotiable.
