CHICAGO (STMW) — Police are searching for a man who sexually abused a female on a Forest Glen neighborhood sidewalk Wednesday morning on the Northwest Side.

The female, whose age was not provided, was walking east at about 9:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of West Peterson Avenue, when the man walked up behind her and slapped her on the buttocks, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The man then ran away, but as the female proceeded to walk back west, he came back and fondled her genital and breast areas, police said.

He then ran southbound, and a short time later, witnesses told authorities they saw someone fitting the man’s description running naked along an elevated jogging path, police said.

The man is described as Hispanic or Middle Eastern, between 20 and 30 years old, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds and standing about 5-foot-6, with black curly hair and an olive complexion, police said. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket and grey sweat pants.

Anyone with information on the sexual abuse should contact detectives at (312) 744-8216.
