Man Killed, Teen Boy Wounded In Auburn Gresham Shooting

(STMW) -- A man was shot to death and a teen boy was wounded in a shooting in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood late Friday.

About 10:50 p.m., a male walked up to a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy at the corner of 88th and Carpenter and opened fire, police said.

The man was shot in the back and buttocks. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the death, but did not releast further details early Saturday.

The teen was shot in the lower left arm and taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park, police said. His condition had stabilized early Saturday.
