#BlameJameis: Top Tweets Mocking ESPN's Coverage Of Jameis Winston

By Tara Linpinsky-

(CBS Local) Jameis Winston is no stranger to controversy. Last year, the Florida State quarterback was accused of rape, and just months after he won the coveted Heisman Trophy in New York City, he was caught stealing crab legs from a local grocery store.

There's been major backlash surrounding the aforementioned sexual assault case and despite the fact authorities haven't pressed charges, Florida State announced on Saturday that Winston will face a disciplinary hearing.

You may think a young talented guy like Winston was just experiencing some growing pains. I mean, in all fairness, that's what your college years are for… learning a few life lessons. However, just a few weeks ago Winston was suspended for a game after he jumped up on a table on campus and shouted disturbingly sexual lyrics from a popular viral video.

Now an ESPN report is surfacing that claims Florida State's athletic compliance department has begun to look into the possibility that Winston signed autographs for money.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher excoriated the media for its coverage of the Heisman winner. The rant spawned #BlameJameis on Twitter, which mocks the media and, at times, what are some very serious allegations. How serious? Just ask Todd Gurley.
