Three Charged With Murder Of Man Found In Dumpster
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three men have been charged with murder for the death of a still-unidentified man found beaten and strangled in a Dumpster on the Northwest Side on Tuesday morning.
Daniel Morris, 20; Todd Cooper, 35; and Jake Tate, 27, are all charged with first-degree murder in connection with the man's death, according to Chicago Police. Tate was also charged with trespassing.
The men participated in the fatal attack in the 5200 block of West Lawrence, police said.
The body was discovered by a janitor at Northwestern Business College in a school Dumpster in the 4800 block of North Lipps at 11:48 a.m., according to a police report and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
He remains unidentified as of Friday morning.
An autopsy found the man died of multiple injuries from a beating, and strangulation, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to a medical examiner's office spokesman.
Morris, of the 200 block of Monterey Drive in Bolingbrook; Cooper, of the 5300 block of North Lynch Avenue in Harwood Heights; and Tate, of the 4900 block of West Argyle, were expected to appear in bond court Friday, police said.
