CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were killed and a Chicago Police sergeant was hurt in a crash late Sunday on the West Side, police said.
A car was speeding west in the 4000 block of West Ogden Avenue about 11 p.m. when the vehicle struck the back of a squad car and then crashed into a building, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Two males in the car, whose ages were not immediately available, were dead at the scene, Greer said.
A sergeant in the squad car was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Greer said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatalities.
