Alexei Ramirez, Adam Eaton Named Gold Glove Finalists
(CBS) White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez and center fielder Adam Eaton have each been named finalists for Gold Gloves at their respective positions, it was announced Thursday. Three finalists are named at each position.
Kansas City's Alcides Escorbar and Baltimore's J.J. Hardy were the other two finalists at shortstop. Boston's Jackie Bradley Jr. and Baltimore's Adam Jones were the other two finalists in center field.
Neither Ramirez nor Eaton has ever won a Gold Glove.
The winners will be announced on Nov. 11. Gold Glove voting consists of two factors: 75 percent is based on managers voting and 25 percent is from statistical data.
