6 Wounded In Citywide Shootings On Thursday

CHICAGO (STMW) -- At least six people were wounded in shootings across the city Thursday.

Most recently, a man was shot in the left foot in the Pilsen neighborhood.

The 30-year-old man was shot about 11:55 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Paulina, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

About 8:30 p.m., a man was wounded in a Fuller Park neighborhood shooting on the South Side.

The man, 28, was shot in the shoulder, buttocks, arm and back in the 3900 block of South Wentworth, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition had stabilized. A police source said the man is a documented gang member.

Less than three hours earlier, a man was shot in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the leg and wrist about 5:45 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Federal, police said. He took himself to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stable.

About 5:25 p.m., a man was shot in the leg in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The man, 30, told police he was shot in the 1100 block of North Springfield, police said. He took himself to Rush University Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the head and critically wounded in the Morgan Park neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The teen was in the 1700 block of West Montvale about 4:20 p.m. when he was shot, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

About 1 p.m., a man was shot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 5900 block of South Vincennes about 1 p.m. and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. The man was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital in good condition.
