Bears' Bushrod: 'All The Guys Are Still Buying In'
(CBS) Following a report that there's disarray in the Bears' locker room amid a 3-5 start and that Marc Trestman's job security is "tenuous," left tackle Jermon Bushrod has come to the defense of his coach.
"We have his back," Bushrod said in an interview on the Mully and Hanley Show on Tuesday morning. "He has ours. He's told us that from Day 1. In the locker room, all the guys are still buying in. We believe in him. We believe in him and the whole coaching staff. When you lose, stories will come up and you won't have a clue where they came from. When things are going bad, a whole bunch of stuff will start coming up. But when you're doing great, no one talks about this kind of stuff. He has our support.
"The locker room's behind him. This team is fighting hard every day."
