Obama Zings MJ After Comments On His Golf Game

(CBS) Just last week, Michael Jordan took a bold shot at President Barack Obama when he called him a "hack" golfer, then doubled down with an even stronger description in an interview with Ahmad Rashad.

Now, the leader of the free world has responded with a zing of his own at the greatest basketball player to ever live.

In an interview with the Wisconsin radio station WJMR, Obama said he thinks Jordan "might've just been trying to give Ahmad an extra ratings boost on his show," then brought the heat.

"There is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am," Obama said, according to thehill.com. "Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case.

"He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats — or the Hornets."

Jordan, of course, is an avid golfer and owns the Charlotte Hornets (formerly the Bobcats). For much of his ownership tenure, Charlotte has been horrific, including an abysmal 7-59 campaign in 2011-'12 when it set an NBA record for futility with a .106 winning percentage. The Hornets have improved since then, making the playoffs last year for the first time since 2009-'10.

Jordan has been the majority owner since 2010 after controlling a minority share beginning in 2006.
