Derrick Rose Will Sit Out Against The Clippers

(CBS) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose won't play Monday night against the Clippers as he continues his recovery from what the team has called a "mild" left hamstring strain, according to reports.

Rose went through "most of practice" Monday morning, the Sun-Times' Joe Cowley tweeted, but the Bulls continue to be conservative in his usage as he comes back following successive season-ending knee injuries.

Rose was injured with about two minutes left in Thursday's win at Toronto when he slipped to the ground on a drive into the lane. He sat out Chicago's home loss to Indiana on Saturday.

Rose has played in five of the Bulls' 10 games this season, averaging 18.0 points on 43 percent shooting. He dealt with two sprained ankles earlier in the season, but those ailments haven't been listed on the recent injury reports.

After tonight, the Bulls next play the Kings on Thursday. By then, Rose will have had a full week off.
