Trestman: 'Guys Hung Together'

(CBS) At least temporarily, the Bears stemmed the tide of a season gone wayward with a 21-13 win against the Vikings at Soldier Field on Sunday after, a victory that moved Chicago to 4-6 on the season.

It also relieved some of the mounting pressure on coach Marc Trestman.

"It feels good," Trestman said Monday morning in an interview with WBBM Newsradio. "We take 24 hours to try to appreciate it, at least as players. As coaches we're back in and moving forward on Tampa Bay. We got another very important game and a lot of work to do. We got to get better."

Trestman gave his defense the biggest props for the victory. The 13 points that Chicago allowed tied for its season-best defensive showing.

"The guys hung together, played very hard, defense played well, overcame two turnovers by not giving up any points. I think that led the way, the way the defense played."

Listen to the full interview below. Trestman also explained a curious quarterback sweep call on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line in the third quarter that resulted in Jay Cutler getting stuffed short of the goal line.
