Man, 70, Dies After Crashing Into Light Pole
CHICAGO (STMW) -- An elderly man died after crashing his vehicle into a light pole in the Ashburn neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
The 70-year-old drove his vehicle into a pole near 79th Street and Kedzie Avenue about 10:30 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to police. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately be reached to confirm the fatality.
No one else was hurt.
