Tulane Wins 6th Straight, Beats Loyola, 83-70

CHICAGO (AP) — Tre Drye nailed all seven of his field goals, finishing with 18 points and pushing Tulane's win streak to six with an 83-70 defeat of Loyola on Wednesday night.

The Green Wave (6-1) were playing their first road game, but led from start to finish with Jonathan Stark and Drye scoring early layups, leading by 10 at the half, and opening on an 8-1 run after the break.

Tulane finished 13 of 14 at the foul line in the final 2:23, Stark hitting all six times to finish with 13 points. Jay Hook scored 15 and Payton Henson 14 as the Green Wave placed four scorers in double figures for the fifth time this season.

The six-game streak is the longest since Tulane won nine in a row to start the 2011-12 season.

Milton Doyle led Loyola with 15 points, Donte Ingram 14 and Christian Thomas 13.
