(STMW) --A man and a woman were killed and two other people were seriously injured early Sunday when an SUV hit two vehicles and a tree in the North Side Bucktown neighborhood.

The man was driving a gray Chevy Tahoe westbound in the 1800 block of West Webster when the SUV sideswiped another vehicle at 3:30 a.m., police said.

The man drove two blocks west, where the Tahoe hit a parked vehicle and a tree, police said.

The man was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office. Police said the unidentified man is 40 years old, but the medical examiner's office said he is thought to be in his 20s.

A third passenger in the SUV was also taken to Masonic Medical Center, and a fourth person was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. They were both listed in serious condition.
