One Dead, One Hurt In South Shore Shooting
(STMW) -- Two 20-year-old men were shot — one fatally — Wednesday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.
The shooting happened in the 2100 block of East 79th Street at 2:19 p.m., police said.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He had not been identified Wednesday night.
The other man was shot in the leg. Hospital information was not immediately available.
